Standard Asalato

standard asalatoMost basic and well known Asalato. Usually made out of Oncoba Spinosa fruit.
Originally made in Africa by mothers as a toy for their children.

I feel Standard Asalato has the most personality because each of them has different size, color, shape, and sound.
It is fun looking for the right one that matches you, and you never know when you will find a better matching Asalato.

There are mainly two places that makes this type of Asalato.

Ghana
Asalato made in Ghana is softer and lighter. In most places they prepare the Asalato by early stage humidity retention, so it looks clean and neat.
It has a softer sound which is recommended to a beginner, but it sometimes crack easily if you play too hard.

Senegal
Asalato made in Senegal is more popular compare to the ones made in Ghana, but many of them are not prepared with humidity retention so some of them has cracks on it.
However, it is very hard and it won't break that easily, which means it can make a loud sound. The color looks kind of whitish and recommended to do personal maintenance to make it look neat.

I personally prefer using this kind of Asalato because it is very natural and sounds great!

Patica

standard asalatoPatica is a type of Asalato made out of plastic.
It has a higher Clack sound and better durability.

It also comes in many unique color, size, and pictures which makes it more fun!

I believe Patica is a NEW type of Asalato that fits more with the society and the generation.
Easier to make, easier customize, and catchy visual style.

Patica is also easier to buy from the US compare to the standard Asalato and that's probably why it became so popular.

Hemp Patica

standard asalatoHemp Patica is made by 30% mixing Hemp fiber which reduces a great amount of an ABS(Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) resin from the product.

The idea is to reduce the waist of the plastic and save the nature!
The scientific research of ecology plastic can be enhanced by more people being interested into Hemp Patica!

I really recommend getting the Hemp Patica instead of the normal Patica to play Asalato as a nature musician.

Urushi Asalato (Lacquer Asalato)

standard asalatoUrushi Asalato is one of the type of Custom Made Asalato, but I thought this is a very interesting kind.

It is officially described as

By covering the Asalato with an Lacquer, it became much beautiful and fits in the hand better. The durability is very high and won't break easily. (Constitutionally may react to lacquer) Using Ormosia Coccinea (Huayruro) seed which will bring you good lucks!

Price $120

I'm very curious with this Asalato, but it is little expensive for me.
So if you own one or experienced using one before, please send me an E-mail and let me know how it feels using it.

Cork Asalato

standard asalatoCork Asalato is, as it is named, made out of Cork.

Because it is made out of Cork, it does not have any Clack sound when playing.

It becomes very handy when you want to practice Asalato at home, midnight, public stores, friends house, or any other way that you can think of.

It comes with a type that has a shake sound included, and a type without the shake sound.

Covered Asalato

standard asalatoCover Asalato is my original. Because my roommates got tired of hearing my Asalato, we came up with an idea of covering the Asalato to minimize the Clack sound.

It works pretty good! There are absolutely no Clack sound yet still playable!

I also love this because it looks so cute and friendly. I usually hang it behind my backpack when I go to school because a lot of people gets curious and asks me what it is.

It also fits perfectly in my hand and makes it easier to grab the Asalato when doing tricks because of its softness.

Please contact me if you are interested in one.

Wooden Asalato

standard asalatoI'm actually not sure how this Asalato will sound or feels.

The idea is very unique. Never saw an Asalato made out of an wood before. I'm assuming that it will have a higher Clack sound, but does it sound good?

Very curious...
Its not that expensive, so I would like to get one someday as an collection... Curious...

LED Asalato

standard asalatoI own one my self, and its actually pretty fun!

I usually use it when we get tired of playing Asalato and feel like having a different taste. Turn off the light, light up the Asalato, and party time!

There are no sound so its more for entertainment. Also can be a fun toy for raves too! If you have the skill to do all the tricks and match with the sound, a lot of people will enjoy watching you spinning four shining balls!

Asatakuro-

standard asalatoAsaltakuro- is a very unique Asalato.

It's not made out of fruit, not even a plastic, but made out of a bamboo!

There are no sound, so it is a type of a silent Asalato.

I'm mainly attractive by the beautiful art it has. Seems like there are only one place that makes this kind of Asalato.

Electric Asalato

This is the next generation Asalato! One company in Japan is working on the project to create an Electric Asalato that catches the sound and output it from the speaker.

It is also possible to use a synthesizer to change the sound as you wish. It can be like a wood sound, computer sound, water sound, or any thing you can imagine!

However, the project is still in process and the product is not completed yet.
